I'm going to Cozumel in January. What kind of weather should I expect?

I was in Cozumel last month... It is so beautiful!

We went to Cozumel, Cancun in January and the highest temperature was 80-82 and nights was between 70-73.  Beautiful weather. Let Texas in Jackets and immediately when we arrived in Mexico Airport were burning up in our light jackets.

Low humidity (for the island), low 80's day's, mid 70's night, no bugs, beautiful nights with all the doors and windows open. Still very warm, out in the sun. Just totally sweet. There can (and will be) winter storms called Nortes, which come mostly in the form of wind, with some rain mixed in. Norte's can close the diving for a couple of days. It's just bad luck if you hit a week with a storm. Every month has a few bad days.

my wife and i went to the Cozumel area of Mexico last December (the week before Christmas) and the weather was awesome.  it was still hot enough to enjoy the Gulf (snorkel, swim, etc.) but comfortable enough to be able to bike one afternoon and enjoy it.  if the weather's anything like it was for us, you'll have picked a great time to go.  enjoy your trip!

It will be mostly sunny with some over cast.  The rain will come and go within 10 minutes.  Not bad especially when the sun gets really hot.  The rain will come for 10 minutes to cool you off.  All in all, it's a great time of year to go.  The weather will be awesome!  I hope you have a great time!
