I am hearing from some people that it's trashy, but from pictures it looks awesome. Then in some it says that things are still damaged from a hurricane. Too bad I already booked the tickets but for the most part will me and friends havea good time, or is it totally gross and not worth it?

  1. its wonderful but storm can sometimes s***w it up then it is trashy but there are ots of nice things to spend your money on

  2. it was wiped after the hurricane but we had a good time.  Just don't buy stuff off of the welcome area when your ship docks they try to tell you it's duty free and everything is cheap and a great deal when in fact it cost like twice as much as the states.  The water is awesome clear try some of the diving if you get the chance.

  3. not the newest place, old but who cares, have a ball any time you can get a way .

  4. Are you talking seriusly ????????

This question has to be a joke, I went two times after the hurricane and it's beautiful. The people who told you that must doing drugs.

  5. Cozumel is great. When I went there, it was very trashy because the just were rebuilding from a hurricane. The have lots of little shops, an out front we went scuba diving. The coral reef might ot be that good because of the hurricane an 2 years a go when i went it was just growing. Any ways have fun!!!!!

  6. no not at all it is really beautiful

  7. People assume because it's Mexico, it's trashy. Well compare Cozumel to any city in the US and you'd be suprised...it is VERY clean and the locals are so nice and treat you well.

On Sundays (or I think it was sunday) everybody goes downtown and they have live music and dancers..it's a very fun time. You should check it out.

  8. No, its defenitly worth it! Of course, like every major city, there are parts of town that are trashy, I mean it is Mexico. But its beautiful on the beaches, there are some wonderful Mayan sights, and great shops and resturaunts.

    Seriously its wonderful.

Don't miss this opportunity. The only hassle is going through the airport's Passport line and junk.

  9. It's a beautiful island, unfortunantly a lot of garbage washes up on the southern and eastern shores.  There are almost no busines's or hotels on those area's so no one cleans them.  That has never stopped us from driving around the island to the coral coves and amazing water "dances"  I would recommend for a friend to go to Cozumel and will go again and again.  You will love the place and the people.
