  1. I agree with Richard K.

Also, you may also consider things such as lotions, soap/shampoos (toiletries), toothpaste, makeup (like eyeliner) for the ladies, and even feminine products. Those things can be hard to come by.

They also appreciate magazines, books and things like these....erasers and other school supplies.

If you have some things like aspirin, that can be appreciated too....vitamins and the like. Toys for the children, baseball gloves, balls, baseball caps (as you can tell they LOVE baseball), sunglasses, kitchen gloves, sponges, sheets, towels....

    Things like these.

Just use your judgment for what you would be comfortable taking. They will appreciate what is given to them in a dignified way.

Have so much fun in Cuba.

  2. all the above stuff is right (except for a gun) but like simon says (lol) they know and aprceiate brand names, nothing too crazy but levi's or tommy well known.  I key bit of advice, if you're doing any tours esp. Havana bring a roll of toilet paper with you on the tour.  as far as thing to give away though, nail polish is really good, running shoes, sports cleats, and if you can get it over the boarder porno magazines are illeagal there, but they get you a long way.  Also chewing gum, and little hair clips.

  3. nothing..the situation in Cuba is bad..but its not Africa..

  4. Colouring books and crayons for the kids, nail varnish, toothpaste, toothbrushes, pens, writing pads, Tampax, nail varnish remover, umbrellas (they have to stand in the hot sun waiting for a bus to take them home, keeps the sun off them), hair slides, scrunchies, tee shirts, kids clothes, chocolate and biscuits, sweets for the kids.

  5. A suggestion is to take used but not abused t-shirts, shorts, sandals, running shoes,  crayons, pencils,  and other stuff like that for the kids.  Others will have many more suggestions.  enjoy yourself,  wish I was there right now.

  6. Freedom.

  7. If you take used stuff (above), take the quality that you would offer to friends.

  8. A gun

  9. Cash'll do fine.
