I also know not to shop on the Royal Mile (Thanks to all those who gave me suggestions as to what to do a little while back! You were really helpful).

I'm pretty sure it'd be rather cold, but then again we've been having quite warm weather recently (in London, where I live).

Thanks for your help

  1. It's usually still pretty warm up here early September so don't overload yourself with big woolly socks and a thick coat as I've known it to still be boiling here in early September.

You are right to ask this question though as we have a slightly different weather system to that of London, take plenty of thin layers in case it is surprisingly cold, but I doubt you'll need to wear big boots and a woolly hat, maybe if you were going a month later yes.....take a light stylish raincoat.

  2. It should not be overly cold, but it probably will be rainy and windy.  Try to find a raincoat with a liner that you can zip in and out.  A hood would be nice so you do not have to carry an umbrella.

  3. Well to be honest your guess is as good as mine. The weather here is totally unpredictable. Bring stuff for all kinds of weathers lol.

Why not the Royal Mile for shopping?

  4. A raincoat with a zip out liner, practical shoes for walking, and an umbrella.
