  1. Its still a tropical storm, and it's going for the Keys. Don't worry. The weather might not be great, but you wont get swept away in some giant tidal wave or anything. Just go and have fun!

  2. I went to Florida during a hurricane! It depends on where you are I went to Orlando! Don't worry :D

    xxxx

  3. You couldn't have booked a hotel in Orlando "near the beach", Orlando is 47  miles from the nearest beach.

The most you'll get from a hurricane is rain and a bit of wind.

Not to mention, this "upcoming hurricane" is actually a tropical storm, even if it does progress to a hurricane, it'll only be a category 1, which is nothing.

I live ON the beach, and we aren't even putting our shutters up, all we did is pull in the lawn furniture.

    No worries.

  4. Orlando is too far inland to be affected by this storm.  at most there will be some heavy rain.

  5. Don't worry, i had the same problem a couple of years ago.

My hotel was practically on the beach, hurricanes aren't that bad even though in the morning you might be surprised of what damage there is.

I was in the swimming pool in the middle of the hurricane, they're actually kind of fun!

    Dont worry, be happy =D

  6. it isn't even a hurricane anymore, its been downgraded to a tropical storm. orlando is miles away from any beach anyways.x

    no worries.

  7. this hurricane won't even really affect us. it's a category 1 and we've been through category 4's and 5's so you really shouldn't worry.

it will just be windy and rainy.

  8. Cancel if your worried and next time book with expedia they have a rain free guarantee. If it rains u get to re-book for free another time. I think thats expedia with the spokesman Wlilliam Chatner(if I spelled it right).  U may get rain i live north of Orlando but thats all. Maybe some wind. It may not be the trip u expected due to weather though, but u will b safe.

  9. i live in orlando. the hurricane hitting isnt that strong. we've been through worst. they havent even cancelled school in orlando for the time being. the rain is really going to be of concern because where i live its already drenched and it hasnt even hit. if your that worried cancel.

  10. lol don't be scared. Its just going to be alot of rain and some wind. It isn't even a hurricane and the structure of the storm was sheared last night, pushing the top clouds to the east, leaving the eye to the west making it unlikely for it to strengthen.  You'll be fine....it'll be rainy on Wednesday and Thursday thats it... its not HITTING Orlando... Orlando is inland, nothing hits Orlando directly. Its most likely going to hit around Ft. Myers and go north so you'll have some wind and a lot of rain, thats all....

  11. First off if you plan on being on the beach your a few hours away from Orlando.....No beach in Orlando..

Storm should be gone by Thursday......don't know when you will arrive......

  12. it's not a hurricane yet and if it does get that strong, it won't be much of a hurricane.  it will most likely be a lot of wind and rain for a day or 2, but no big deal.  call your hotel and ask if they suggest anything.  bring something you can do indoors for a day.
