I'm going to France in May for two weeks with my school...I'm 14. Can someone tell me what i need to wear?

I really don't want to look like a tourist and I know fashion there is alot different so if someone could tell me what teenagers wear there or give me any websites that'd be great. Also if anyone know what the weather will be like in mid-May so I know what to pack for the weather as well as fashion wise. Please only answer this if you have actually been there or live there. Thank you in advance!

Just dress normal.  Don't wear anything that's noticeably American (shirts with school names or places on them).  Jeans and a tee shirt should be fine.

Where are you going to be?  It should be fairly warm everywhere, but it'll be a lot warmer if you're on the Mediterranean than if you're in Paris.

You might want to take sweaters (not sweatshirts) for night.  And take some dressier clothes in case you go to a nice place for dinner or out to a discotheque.

Not to worry. After all, traveling with a group of other young English speakers will make it clear to everyone that you are a tourist anyway.

The average temperatures will likely be in the mid to high 50's. You can expect quite a bit of rain. May is the month with the highest rainfall.

So dress to be comfortable and make sure you have proper footwear for slogging around in the rain. Young people in Paris don't dress all that differently from Americans anyway.

As a teenager, just dress as you normally do. You won't look like a tourist because teenagers in France probably have the same influence as you have. Just be yourself, that's always the best thing. Jeans and t-shirts are basic teenage "uniforms" everywhere. Mid-May the weather gets warmer, so pack half short sleeves, half long sleeves (cotton). Also pack a sweater or two in case it gets chilly. Add a light (rain) jacket in case it rains. Also avoid carrying your wallet in your backpocket, it attracts pickpockets!
