I'm not sure exactly the area... But I know we will be going to Koblenz one day.. we will see the Berlin wall.. we're going to Fantasia Land.. and some other places... and I think the hotel is in Moselle Valley.. :S

I have searched on google but it says raining in some places, sunny in some places, and snowing in others! lol

So any ideas would be great! Other wise I will have two suitcases of clothes because I don't know whether to take winter or summer clothes..! lol

Thanks x

  1. Much the same as here!

  2. I'm living in Offenbach near to Frankfurt am, & we have snow at this time Koblenz is 140km west of us must be almost the same but it will be a little warmer next week. i hope you have nice time.

  3. I use . ...

Remember, Germany is a very big country with weather differences north and south. Have a good time, you'll love it, especially Bavaria and Berlin. Marvellous night life and great people.

  4. Today it's the evening of Easter Monday - pretty cold and snowing here, wet. Used to be even sunny during the day.

I suggest: Bring winter clothing. You're going to need it!

  5. At this time of year, the weather is hard to predict. It will be cool at least, if not cold, and possibly raining. We don't actually expect snow anymore. Warm clothing and something "rainproof" is strongly recommended. Koblenz, Berlin, the Mosel Valley: These each have their own "micro climates", with the Mosel Valley being the warmest, so expect to experience every kind of weather. Bring some light clothing in case it should be unexpectedly warm, but leave your summer clothing at home.

  6. Bring layers. The Moselle/Rhein valleys are fairly warm, but the wind picks up if you get anywhere near the water. I was in Koblenz/Rhein/Moselle Valleys about a month ago and I took with me pants, skirts and tights, long shirts and sweaters and a windbreaker. I didn't need my winter coat, but I was layering my sweaters with my windbreaks.

Berlin is a ways away from the rest of the places you've listed, but usually the weather is a bit cooler, if not slightly windier. Chances of rain are about the same in both places.

Honestly, when I lived in Koblenz, the only time we ever got snow in spring, it was maybe three cm and it lasted about two or three days (this was a year ago). Shoes: take two pairs, both comfortable for walking, but one waterprooof.

Have an awesome trip! I miss it so much *sigh*. Don't forget to ride Michael Jackson's thrill ride at FantasiaLand :)

  7. Probably rainy

  8. It probably wont be very warm.  i would pack more on the winter side.  it will probably be gloomy and rainy a lot too.  the 4 times i went in march, april and may it was like that.  it also depends on where you go.  itll probably be snowing in the mountains.

*my grandma said (she lives there and shes a full blooded German)that its going to be snowing all week

  10. Take winter it will be cold,And raining.

  11. It's cold like h**l at the moment.

(wow, there's a screwed up simile...)

It looks like it's going to stay this nasty for quite a few days, too....

Check http://www.wetter.com - you can enter the name of the town, or the 5-digit German postcode, and it'll give you a forecast for 3 days [expends to 10 days on the click of a button; of course, 10 days into the future is a highly uncertain prediction]

BTW, did you know that the BBCs weather page also gives you forecasts for German towns? - http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather

  12. It's more or less the same as the weather we get here. Have a great time.
