Kildare - horses and horse racing

Meath - Newgrange, Hill of Tara

  3. Malin Head - the most northern point of Souther Ireland

Grianan Fort - magnificent views at this ancient monument/fort

Giants Causeway - more views and a wonderful mystical experience

Port Rush & Port Stuart - beautiful fishing villages/towns with beautiful people

    Have a wicked time

  4. Depends where you will be. On the west coast, Kerry, Clare, Galway and Sligo are lovely and very scenic. There is a national park in Killarney, co. Kerry and In the Burren, Co. Clare and in Connemara, Co. Galway. Sligo, Kerry and Galway have lovely lakes. Clare has the cliffs of Moher and Ailwee caves.

If you're on the east coast you have Dublin, Meath, Wicklow and Wexford worth seeing. dublin is a city full of museums, galleries and great shops as well as some lovely coastal towns. Wicklow is known as the garden of Ireland as it is full of gardens and is very scenic. Glendalough and Powerscourt gardens are well worth visiting and Wicklow Gaol is good fun and educational. There are many other gardens too. In Meath there is the historic site of Newgrange and castles such as Slane and Trim. There are also monastic ruins. Wexford is more of a place for the beach.

If you want to visit cities, I recommend Dublin, Galway and Cork.

Northern Ireland is also very beautiful and has many places to visit such as Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Ulster Folk Park, Mountains of Mourne.

Here are some websites to look at

Glenroe Open Farm also in Wexford, the TV show Glenroe was filmed there.

  8. If you want to go to a quiet town, with hardly any tourists, beautiful old abbeys, enchanting forests, and quaint pubs, go to Cong. It's been my favorite town in Ireland both times I've visted.

  9. The list is endless Ireland is a beautiful country and there are so many places that need to be seen.  Some of my favourites are:  Killarney, Wexford, Waterford and Cork

  10. the shops. Enjoy it while you can, you hit the age and its no more free anything.
