I'm going to Italy in November with my family. We're going to Parma, Florence and Rome, to name a few. We're gonna visit vineyards, go to the Vatican and the Vatican Museums. Any other suggestions on what else to do?

  1. DEFINITELY hit up a gelato shop.  Everyone here in the states claim to sell gelatos but they all lie...

Also, just go for a drive.  There are BEAUTIFUL roads and most will lead you to some great little mission towns.

  2. In Parma you have to see:

The Dome and the medieval square with the Baptistry...

  6. I was in Rome in 2000. I spent several days looking around at all the historical places, artwork etc that still exists - and I only scratched the surface!! Definitely look at the colloseum, the Vatican (St Peters Basilica, St Peter's Square and the Vatican Museum), Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Spanish Steps, and just wondering around. I'd love to go back with my family - that's the next big trip!!
