  1. Here's what I do.  I put on shorts and a tee-shirt then cover that up with a sweat suit.  Then I can strip down right in my seat as we get closer.  It's always too cold in the plane for me.  But then again, I usually go in Dec..  If your a warmer type, a cute sundress would be comfy with a little sweater (you may need it in the evening in Jamaica).  Have the most wonderful vacation!

  2. Wear a nice summer outfit; just make sure you have a jacket for the plane...

  3. it warm now in jamaica.. no long sleeves etc.. or you will be burning up. no boots. unless you are prepared to face the consequences...

apart from that.. wear whatever you want. no one here is gonna judge you.. just look nice.:D

  4. If you are leaving your house at 4am for a two hour drive and your flight leave at 630am, you are probably gonna wanna leave earlier than that (first of all) because you are going to have to go through customs and immigration and that can take some time...

As far as clothes - its in the upper 80's in JA with a lot of humidity right now, so prepare for that when you get off the plane!  NYC/JFK could be just as hot that morning or it may be cooler, so the best thing to do is dress in layers.  That way if you are too hot you can take something off or too cold, put something back on. The AC in the plane can be cold!

Good luck picking out something - have fun!

  5. Wear a nice tank top and bermudas, or even jeans.

Keep a jacket for the plane ride and have a mini umbrella in your hand luggage.

Jamaica is pretty hot plus you are coming to enjoy yourself so do not stress about what you wear. be sure to have clothes that are cool and sandals in your luggage. Bring at least one fancy dress, though, in case your hotel has some fancy restaurant that you wanna try.

bring a jacket or poncho for times when you may be out at night. Take a lot of repellent if you intend to be adventurous and go on tours.

    Enjoy it!

  6. You may be standing for a long time to clear through immigration in Jamaica and it may be a bit hot and humid on line.  So, wear comfy shoes and light weight clothing.  Have a light shirt or jacket to wear over your light top on the plane, then take it off when you arrive.  Have your sunglasses handy for the ride from the airport.

Another packing tip if you are traveling to a resort hotel... When you arrive you probably will not have your bags immediately delivered to your room.  You may not even have immediate access to your room.  Your bags will be with you, though.  Have all the stuff you'll want for your first few hours in a handy place to just grab it out of your suitcase (maybe a big ziplock).  Sunscreen, bathing suit, beach sandals and a coverup.  You can change in the lobby restrooms, put your travel clothes back into your suitcase,  and get the party started!

  7. Wear whatever you feel like wearing. Its a given that its going to hot in Jamaica in the day so dress appropriate for that kind of weather. I would wear jeans so I am not too cold on the flight and some type of top, perhaps a tank, and some flip flops.  You will need the flip flops to walk through the terminal in Kingston and then down the ramp @ Manley airport.

  8. wear a skinny jeans and a cute little shirt
