I'm going to Lille with a friend. What should I see there?

We're 27 into good food, wine, culture etc etc. Please advise. Thanks.

You'll find some nice bakeries and delis on rue Leon Gambetta (cheaper than downtown).  La Musee des beaux arts (fine arts museum) is a must see if you like culture and art.  Downtown is a nice place to take a leisurely walk.  Lille is not a huge city like Paris, NY or London but if you are looking for a "typical" French city, you should have a good time.  If you have time and the interest, Belgium is very close and you might have a nice time visiting Belgium, as well.
