I'm going to London for 3 mo. on some leadership training. Housing n food will be provided.I'll be there from mid June to mid Oct.

So far I know to take enough basic things to last me 3 months. Like face wash, lotion, razors n what not.

I really want to just take what I need.

Soooo what should I take?

And is there anything else I should be aware of?

Tips please!!!

  1. Take twice as much money as you think you need, and then more still.

  2. You should definitely invest in an adapter for electrical outlets. If you plan on using a blow dryer, a charger of any sort or anything else that needs to be plugged in you will need it as our outlets are different from European outlets. Otherwise, think layering when you are packing your clothes. You can come across all kinds of weather during those months. And just remember that most Londoners do not dress as casual on the street as Americans do (I'm assuming that you are from the U.S. If not, I apologize.) so flip flops, shorts or tank tops might not work for your days off. Anyway, good luck and have fun!

  3. Umbrella.

  4. Atomic punk basically said it all.  Layering clothes as the weather is changeable.  Take some nice clothes, as dressing up in the evening is usually when going to some restaurants, bars and clubs.

You however, do not need to take a 3 month supply of basics.  You can buy things in london, we have pretty much all the same stuff. (unless cost is an issue)

    Have fun!
