Any suggestions of places to see or go to? I already have some ideas, but I'd love to receive some more. I haven't ever been on a plane before and I have bad circulation. Would my feet swell up on take off? I already know my ears will pop. I'm in London for about 12 days. How much money should I bring (besides for essentials). It's my first time overseas and I'm from Canada. If you can think of anything else to tell me, I'd like to hear it. Thanks in advance.

  1. For DVT  you should get up and walk about the cablin if you feel your legs/going to slep. you can also do excersise while sitting down , also ask them how yo join the mile high club.........but the best advice is:    Not to visit London

  2. Well, fist of all. I would bring a camera. I would also bring a rain coat. I hear they get a lot of rain. I've been there

  3. umm bring some warm clothes Britains rainy and cold (im from scotland) my sis went in april and saw the london eye, buckingham palace, and the shops are pretty good. your feet may swell up due to the pressure, bring about 300 pounds=600$$ for spending and what not. have fun!

  4. Covent Garden is my absolute favourite place in London - always something going on, something to look at, plus the market is great!  My advice is to walk around - central London is surprisingly compact and if you're on foot you see loads of interesting things you won't pick up on a bus.  Walk through St James' Park, go to Speaker's Corner (Hyde Park) on a Sunday and listen to all the people explaining their views on life!  Hit Oxford Street - start at Marble Arch and work your way down to Tottenham Court Road, going into all the shops that take your fancy (three friends and I once took eight hours to do this, and it's not that far!), go to a musical in the West End - if you go to the TKTS booth in Leicester Square, you can pick up half-price tickets for a show that day, but if you specifically want to see one particular show (especially a very popular show like Wicked or Hairspray), go to the theatre's box office and book in advance - or book on the internet before you go.  The Tower of London is definitely worth a visit, but I wouldn't bother with Madame Tussaud's - waste of money as far as I'm concerned.  Go and watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace; take advantage of the fact that entry to all the museums is free - the Natural History Museum and Science Museum are my two particular favourites.  Check out Piccadilly Circus and the famous statue of Eros, the London Eye is great for some spectacular views of London, and another fascinating thing to do is to the Tower Bridge Exhibition where you go across the walkways that are high above the bridge proper.  The Zoo is good but expensive.  Good day trips out of London are Hampton Court Palace which was Henry VIII's favourite palace (train from Waterloo), Windsor where the current Royal family live when they're not at Buckingham Palace, worth going into the castle (train from Paddington), Brighton (train from Charing Cross - I think!) and Cambridge which is the most beautiful and historic city with the most incredible buildings (train from Kings Cross).  Hope I've given you some ideas!
