  2. Things to buy in malaysia ...

Pewter Plates - I've been told that pewter is cheaper in malaysia. You can buy pewter plates with various designs. The best I've seen are found in petaling street. They are not really cheap with some costing around RM30-50 I think.

Keychain souvenirs - The come in various styles and attachments and are quite cheap at around RM10 for sets of 5 if I am not mistaken. Useful gifts for big groups like co-workers or classmates. You can find them almost anywhere in malaysia.

Chinese samfoo and chongsam - These are traditional chinese costumes. This will be a bit more costly than the keychains. Expect to pay around RM80-100. There's a shop in Petaling street but you can also find this in most of the malls like Midvalley and One Utama.

Food - I realize this is not something you can bring home but since food is something to buy, I have decided to include it here as well.

Satay - malaysian version of chicken/pork barbecue served with peanut sauce

Nasi Lamak - rice cooked with coconut milk

Roti - this is indian bread served with various dips and is found in mamak places in malaysia

Teh Tarik - this is malaysian tea prepared in a unique way

    Enjoy your trip.
