I'm going to Mexico in November, how early should I book my flight?

I go to Mexico in November every year. I start looking at prices in March or April, so that I know what the cost is. Then I use farecompare.com or other travel sites looking for a bargain. It is not a busy time for travel to Mexico, so flights do not fill up very fast. You can even pick a flight that you like on orbitz.com and see how many seats are open. It is a guessing game. When I see a price I like ( usually about 90 days before that flight), I buy my tickets. If you wait until the last minute, you either get a great price, or no ticket.

we go in January every year and book by at least September.  hope that helps.  Unless you are looking for a cheap last minute deal then wait and look two weeks before you are ready to go

Not yet.  Just keep an eye on the prices; 2 months ahead should be more than enough.  More importantly, do you have your passport yet???
