  1. There's an alimentari (kind of like a deli) on Via San Zanobi at the intersection of Via Giuseppe Dolfi.  You can get a sandwich there for a fairly inexpensive lunch.

    Ask for melanzane (eggplant) con stracchino (a creamy cheese) on schicciatta (a flat bread)...I used to live on those.

    One place I like (not cheap, but not terrifically expensive) is Edi House in Piazza Savonarola.
