I'm going to NYC for my 1st time next week. I'll be there for about 4 days. ?

Question

It seems like there is SO much to do that I'm a little overwhelmed!! So tell me, what are some of the "CAN'T MISS" places/things to do that I should check out?? I want to see as much as possible but don't want to miss out on anything!!

PS I'll be on a budget so cheap / free would be great!! ;)

definetly og to the observation deck on the empire state building, the most u will need is ten bucks!

its like 2 bucks to go up, 50cents for the binoculars and the rest for suviners and lunch!

then definitley hit the musems!!!

its a great way to spend the day!

-Times Square (no trip is complete without a visit to the"Crossroads of the World")

-Lower Manhattan/Wall Street Area

-Central Park

-Brooklyn Bridge (you can walk across it too)

-Grand Central Terminal (largest railroad terminal in the country)

-A Ride on the Staten Island Ferry (its free and you can see the Statue of Liberty as the ferry crosses the harbor)

Museums (the museums listed her have free or donation admission on certain days)

-Museum Mile (Fifth Avenue from East 86 to East 103 Streets)

-Museum of Natural History and the Rose Center for Earth and Space (formerly the Hayden Planetarium)

-MoMa

-Bronx Museum of Art

-Brooklyn Museum

-Milk Gallery

-American Craft Museum

-Museum of American Folk Art

-Museum of the Moving Image

-The Paley Center For Media (formerly the Museum of Television and Radio)

-The Municipal Art Society

GET ON ONE OF THE BUS TOURS , MAKE SURE YOU GET THE PACKAGE WITH THE TICKET TO STATUE OF LIBERTY AND ELISE ISLAND, YOU CAN GET OFF AND ON THE BUS ALL OVER THE CITY ITS CHEAPER THAT CAB FAR! YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME!  YOU WILL HAVE NO PROB. FINDING THE BUSES PEOPLE ARE ON THE STREETS WITH THE FLYERS...YOU GOT TO CATCH A YANKEE GAME, LAST SEASON IN A GREAT STADIUM...EVEN A METS GAME LAST SEASON ALSO, DEPENDING WHEN YOUR THERE SEE IF THEY PLAY AT HOME!!! THATS A MUST.. I DRIVE 3 HOURS ONE WAY SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR JUST FOR THE GAMES, EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE I GO DWN TOWN

Well first of all, nothing will be cheap or free in NYC. Everything is extremely expensive. You should check out the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Central Park, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Coney Island. Those are a bunch of the big time places that you should check out. There is a lot more too.

Go the the World Trade Center Site, or the The Bronx Zoo, Wednesday's are free.  Central Park, 42nd Street, (at night) its beautiful)  Botanical Gardens, in the Bronx.  Washington Square Park in NYC, its great, musicians, dancers, skaters, singers, awesome!  Good Luck and have fun.

I strongly suggest you visit the statue of liberty. once you go up there you can see basically all of new york it's breath taking. second i think you should go shopping because the stores are amazing.

and if you have time check out the little candy store they have there. it's called "Dylan's Candy Bar" they have stairs with candy! and they have amazing chocolate

yeah coney island is fun the pizza

and you can see a lot and money is only

used if you want to buy something

hit up time square its the beste place probably in the whole city

try to get in to trl or stand outside thats always fun

dinner you could try hard rock cafe and espn zone

theres just so much to do shop at all the stores there all bigger and better in the city

wax museum go there it is awesome

you need to eat pizze because noone makes pizza like new york

you could check out coney island its like a landmark practically lol so gotta go there

and omg you have to eat a hotdog and nuts 4 nuts they are the best thats what new york is about =]

ive liveid in new york my whole life and it never gets boring so 4 days you'll have a blast
