  1. Well, I enjoyed the Arc La Defense, The pompidou art center, Montmare cathedral, The lourve art musium. I would get a guide book to paris and plan your trip that way because there is soooooooooooooo much to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. The list is very long:

    The Eiffel Tower

    Notre Dame Cathedral

    Sacre Coeur

    Arc de Triomphe

    Pantheon

    Invalides

    Luxembourg Gardens

    Tuilleries Gardens

    Place de la Concorde

    La Conciergerie

    St. Chapelle

    Cluny Museum

    Louvre

    Musee D'Orsay

    Centre Pompidou

    Rodin Museum

    Orangerie

    Jeu de Paume

    Grand Palais

    Petit Palais

    Paris Sewers

    Arènes de Lutèce

    Père-Lachaise Cemetery

Versailles (which is technically in a suburb and not Paris itself).

And that's really just the beginning.

But I really suggest that you not be concerned about what someone else thinks you must see. I think a lot of people wear themselves out trying to squeeze in a quick visit to every famous sight they have ever heard about.

Its just too exhausting to do that. Better to take your time, see a few sights, and spend a lot of your time just getting a feel for the ambience of Paris.

You should spend some time just strolling around the city to appreciate its architecture and to get a feel for its medieval layout, the Belle Epoch improvements of Baron Hausman, and the modernizations seen in places like the Les Halles Forum and the new Opera in the Place Bastille.

You should take a little time to just sit in a cafe in the Latin Quarter or St. Germaine and people watch.

Enjoy some of the nightlife of Paris. Not the tourist ripoffs like the Moulin Rogue or the Lido but the vast number of fantastic music venues, from the jazz joints to discos.

Eat! And be a bit courageous. Go to places that don't cater to tourists and don't have English menus. Just point to things on the menu or, better still, walk into a cafe at lunchtime and ask for the daily special which you'll almost always see displayed on a chalk board. don't worry if you don't know what it is! Try it! The worst that will happen is that you'll have a hilarious story to tell about how you got served a calve's head with cream sauce or something else too weird for you to eat.

Don't listen to people who tell you Parisians are terrible people or adivse staying in a tight little tourist cocoon..

Strike up conversations with strangers, be open minded, put your map in your back pocket and just wander around, get lost, experiment, learn, take the time to really look at things.

This may be your first time in Paris but it doesn't have to be your last. If you get to know the city rather than just see the sights you'll probably find yourself coming back again and again. That's what I've been doing for the last 35 years.

  3. fancy restrurants and little boutiques. i heard they're great.

have the greatest time of your life. my grandma went about a year ago and said it was so nice. i had to take a language class in 7th grade and it was french. we had brei cheese (thet white cheese with the crust around it), i loved it. so please have a slice of it for me. The bread it supposively great too.

i saw the movie passport to paris, it's an old mary-kate and ashley movie, the city of paris was beautiful. and even though i don't know you, i wish i could join you.

have a great time, take many pictures
