I'm going to Playa, Mexico where USD is accepted. Would it save me money to take pesos for merchandise?

I think the exchange is 100 pesos=a little over $9 USD.

Today, $1.00  is 10.69 pesos.  Saves you money to pay in pesos.  Use your Atm card to get money out at the current bank rate. I have lived in Mexico for 3 years now and the exchange rate has varied by a few pennies up and down, but is almost exactly what it was 3 years ago.  If you pay in dollars, they just figure 10 pesos to a dollar.
