  1. Ohhhh I love inverness!! Go to the moray firth where you can watch the dolphins, there is a visitor centre which is really interesting and can tell you the best time of day to go to make sure you see them.  There are some fabulous beaches there too!

In Edinburgh go on a night time ghost walk! I wouldn't say they are terrifying but certainly entertaining!

I also LOVE Loch Lomond! There is a lovely village there (where 'where the heart is' was filmed in fact) and its just so beautiful!

Have a great time!! I am going to Edinburgh in a few weeks and I am so excited!

Oh yeah, Glasgow is good for shopping!! Enjoy!

  2. Have a look at this site for some ideas about what to see & do in Glasgow when you're here. Not sure how long you'll be here for & what your interests are, but you can be sure that while you won't see everything the City's got to offer, you'll have a time packed with a great number of sights and sounds.

    All the best,

    Scott

  3. Kilberry near Tarbert is pretty and has a lovely restaurant.

stop at Loch Fyne for some oysters

Plockton is beautiful, it is on the gulf stream so has palm trees and is warm

Gairloch is worth a visit, you can stay at a lighthouse hotel,go fishing

Skye is def worth a visit, now u can go across the bridge for free!

Loch Ness and Loch Lomond are essentials

  4. Loch Lomond is a must, but for a wee taste of the places and atmosphere, enjoy this.

  5. Hope you're better at map reading than you are at typing/spelling because you'll get lost if you try looking for a place called Millaig............

  6. i was in scotland at the weekend and i work really reccommend edinburgh vaults.  they are really scarey and fun.  Also the food in edinburgh is amazing!!!

  7. On the road from Fort William to Mallaig you will see the viaduct used in the Harry Potter films, if you on a train you will go over it! Stay at the Marine Hotel in Mallaig. If dinning out make it early as all places close by about 9pm. Be in early or you will get midged. Eat seafood, drink black bottle and listen out for life music in the hotel. You must also head for Morar a couple of miles south and see the beach where "Local Hero" was filmed. Catch a ferry to skye and have a look around.

  8. Hi, I am a native Glaswegian. There is so much to see and do in the city>glasgow has a wealth of diverse culture and history...it depends what your into. I suggest you visit www.glasgow.gov.uk or www.inglasgow.com.

If you take the train from Glasgow to Mallaig on the West Highland line to visit Oban, Fort William and the western Hebridies.

I think that you are going to be pushed for time if you are planning to tour Scotland within two weeks!!! There is so much to see and do so you will need to revise your itinary.

    Also visit www.visitscotland.org. Good luck

    Colin

  9. I think you are planning alot in two weeks and get the feeling you are going to miss alot of Scotland this way. Glasgow is a fab place with alot to see and do. I would recommend the comedy clubs and of course shopping. Edinburgh has alot of history and the castle is prob a must. In between you have outdoor sports including 4x4, clay pigeon shooting, husky dog tours and walking routes.
