  1. Yes

  2. Although its a Spanish island its not part of the EU so you are only SUPPOSED to bring back 220 cigs and 1 litre of spirits.  However, to get cigs through without any hassle you should just remove them from the sleeve and empty the loose packets into your case, that way they can only be for personal use!  I've been and had no problems with customs but its better to be safe than sorry!

  3. sunshine what you state is wrong if you have more than allowed and in the case of teneriffe 200 anything over will be confiscated and you are not asked to pay duty a straight confiscation will apply, loose or not this is stupid advice to give it dont work

  4. No,The Customs Rules are much stricter than mainland Spain,Tenerife Is a Spanish Colony,And is Autonomous .although it falls under the rule of Spain, The EU in its wisdom does not consider Tenerife a part of Spain for Customs purposes. Therefore restrictions apply IE Only 200 Cigs per person.

  5. planning smuggling something?!?!

  6. No - the Canaries are not in the EU (despite benefiting from various EU grants for roads etc) and you have restrictions on what you can bring back into the UK.  Read the customs regulations at your airport or on the web.  Mainland Spain is in the EU and you can bring back anything within the law.

  7. This has always puzzled me ...about the Canaries ... they keep telling us that they are not in Europe  ...but they are Spanish Islands ..  I have been many times ...and I have never experienced any problems at Customs.... Fill your case ..I do..

  8. i know u r only aloud 2 bring back 200 cigs.
