I REFUSE to check my bags - I've had the worst luck ever, I went to Toledo and my bags ended up in TOKYO!

Would you consider the regular white deodorant a gel or liquid? Or neither?

  1. probably gel...but both are what youre going to have to put in the little clear bags. So what part of Texas are you going to?

  2. My solution is buy the deodorant you like when you get here, then throw away. Its not like they are that expensive.

  3. I don't think it matters, as long as you can find a travel size that meets the legal travel requirements.  I travelled a lot last year, nearly every weekend for about 4 months from Texas to California. I hated checking my luggage too. I think they should make packing for carry on a specialized skill or art form. lol.

You should buy as many travel sized items that you can. I bought the 0.5 size travel deoderants invisible solids, not the gel or liquid.  The gels and liquids come in the travel size too, sometimes, you just have to buy what's available.  I bought most of my travel sized items from Wal-mart.  They also sell the approved travel containers as well, so you can put your favorite lotions, hair products, or other items that you can't find a travel size for.  Be prepared to condense your travel sized items into 1 baggie if you have to. Some airports let you carry on 2, others only allow 1.  DFW allowed 2 full baggies to CA, but Oakland, only allowed 1 back to Dallas. The first time I found this out, I had to stand there in front of security and decide what would have to go  in order to stuff everything into 1 baggie.

Good luck on your trip, weather is finally cooling off. It's in the 80's this week in Dallas, hopefully it will be the same in the area you are traveling to.  Stay safe. ~J~

FYI: I Found some nice websites that only sell travel sized items. Not sure how much time you have before your trip, but you could check it out.

  4. Neither, it's a solid.  You should be okay to take it with you.
