I'm going to Vancouver B.C., is there anything that I should be sure to do or see while I'm there?

My boyfriend got us tickets to the Amos Lee concert August 22nd. We will be there Friday and Saturday only. Where should we go for dinner, hotel/bed and breakfast recommendations, bars to visit etc... We like sushi, happy hour, eating outdoors... We're interested in visiting any wineries if there are any good ones with tasting rooms nearby. Thanks for your help!

The Bay Sushi Cafe across from Granville Skytrain station on Seymour st has the BEST sushi downtown.

Along Granville st, there are quite a few bars with patios that you can sit out and eat and drink while watching everyone walk by. Or even some of the restaurants along the harbour in Yaletown. Both are interesting during the day when it's nice and sunny out on a summer afternoon.

I agree with previous posts that you have to get out of the city as well. If you are really pressed for time, at least go up Grouse Mountain. You can get there by bus & seabus from downtown.

Get out of town and the attendant pollution and breath,  I was once in a place called Frazer Mills and the whole place was like breathing in a sawyard,  I can shut my eyes and smell it now from 50 years ago.
