I'm going to a bridal shower. The theme is "months." I have March, and my mom has Oct. Any ideas for gifts?

In terms of marriage, October makes me thing more of thanksgiving.... thanksgiving dinner... there are a ton of gifts for that... turkey platter/matching gravy boat.... table linens featuring fall motifs... etc., something that uses a family setting and fits the whole wedding shower thing.

March is a little bit harder to me, since it signals the clearing up of winter weather in most places, try considering their hobbies, or something for outdoor comfort, if they're outdoor people. Oh! Picnic stuff! Kind of hard since I don't know them, but I hope these help!

Well since March is a windy month(March winds) get her an electric fan and not a cheap one from Wal-mart.

October is the start of fall so maybe a nice fall themed throw for a couch.

for March you can get a plant, or something related to spring.  For October you could get Halloween decorations, a rake, blankets, or some apple cider and donuts.

anything spring, you could get one of those little flags that you can get the multiple flags for all of the seasons or holidays. You can get a spring flag, your mom a autumn flag.

well I live in Canada so October is Thanksgiving for us, but I also do alot of cooking in October...making soups and chilis and lasagnas to freeze for the winter months (easy meals and such) so I think cooking stuff would be good.  pots and pans or serving trays, nice tupperwear for freezing things and maybe a fall cookbook to go along with it so she gets the idea that october is a cooking month kind of thing.  for March I think St. Patricks day so maybe some wine glasses or a martini set or beer mugs if they are drinkers (get a set for whatever they seem to drink)  March is kind of a hard month.

oh...I was also thinking for October...if she doesnt want to do cooking stuff then a nice set of heavier bed sheets for the fall/winter or a quilt for the bed (if it gets cold where you live) would be good.  I would love a nice quilt for my bed or blankets for my couch to snuggle.

March symbolizes the start of spring. So, I think flowers or maybe a perfume that has to do with rain...I think there is one at Sephora called that I liked.

October...fall...hmmm, maybe some warm pajamas and slippers? Some flavored tea or coffee?

Both are great months my oldest daughter was born in March and my youngest in October!!

However.. I can think of spring in the air for march but yet it still snows... I am in Indiana so there you go! I would say something spring or even a umbrella.. lol and for October you could do a hat and gloves?? October leaves are beautiful!! how about grass seed for spring and a rack for fall.. lol it goes together!!

March is spring cleaning month so a cute laundry basket with cleaning supplies and dish towels and thing like that would be perfect!

October is football season so you could get movies for her to watch or a gift certificate or something for her to do while her husband is watching the game!

How cute is that! I have never heard of anything like that before. Since your going to a shower, then you will want something they can use. I suggest a Rose bush, to plant for spring and October. You could give them a dish for their candy, that way every year that hand out candy on Halloween they will think of you and your mother. GOOD LUCK

March - I think of something springy...flowers...bunnies...cakes (lol)...grass...how about some cute flowerpots with gardening tools?

October - I think of fall and Halloween...leaves...parties...costumes.... weather...how about a punch bowl set, or some Halloween decorations for the house..or a kinky costume to wear with her new husband =O) lol..it may embarass her though.
