My first two years my GPA was a 2.8. Then I switched schools to a place where they let me go to the local community college full time to get my Associates the same time I got my high school diploma. So I'm going to be a senior and my GPA for the community college is a 3.94.

I got a 23 on my ACT.

What should I expect tomorrow?

Do you think they'll buy my story of how my local HS was horrible and that's why I did bad.

What should I expect?

  1. just be yourself and f they ask about ur old hs, give them detailed answers about why is was so bad...prove it to them. Honestly tho, i think you'll be fine...good luck!  :D

  2. People love a story where someone turns his life around -- so make sure that you talk about your improvement.

Be very careful, though, not to put the blame for your earlier poor performance on anyone else.  Don't talk about your local HS being horrible.  Say that you didn't feel challenged, so didn't work as hard -- but then realized you needed to challenge yourself.

Also -- remember that they aren't just interviewing you.  You are also interviewing them to see if it is a good place for you.  Don't be afraid to ask questions.

  3. They don't care about your first 3, or ever 3 years, its senior year that they care about, so as long as your doing well now, they will take that as you got your act together and are determined
