I'm going to a new school...

Question

Ok, i just moved and i'm really nervous about going to a new school. i don't know where to go and i don't know anybody there. so i was just wondering if you were ever a new student at a new school. Was the first day great or bad. Did you make friends. cuz i'm the kind of person who is sort of shy at first but then i'm really out going once you get to know me. So any advice i would love. thanx

At first it's very nerve-wrecking but it always gets better. You might make friends with the person who has a locker next to you or someone who sits behind you in a class..just remember you are not the only new person in the school....and don't be afraid to ask someone for help because more than likely they know what it's like to be the new kid...

I've moved schools SO many times, so I know what it's like... (I'm also going to another school this year) and of course I'm nervous too, but from previous experience I just went up to random people in the classroom that I thought looked like nice people and started talking and saying hi and stuff. You might want to say, "Hi, my name is ___.  Have you read ___?" or something. LOL.

I know EXCTALLY how you feel my dads in the military so i moved every two years or so. the first day is always nerve racking but if you go into the school positive and headstrong, ppl will notice. My first days are always scary but turn out to be great. I am very shy and normally dont talk to ppl until i get warmed up to them, i just compliment something they are wearing and we start a converstaion. Normally i make friends by the 3rd day, dont be upset if you dont make some on the very 1st! the best way to take in a new school is just being yourself, just being dressed a certain way will lead ppl who are ur style to u.
