I'm going to a summer over night camp for two weeks! What should i take? please help:)?

It tells u on the brochure that you can NOT bring your cell phone should i sneak it? I would like to have it in case of emergency?

It depends how long you are going to be gone. You will need an outfit for everyday that you are going to be there, then bring two spare outfits. You are also going to want to bring a jacket and a sweatshirt, yes I know the weather might be nice, but it can get cold at night. Also bring some extra socks, tennis shoes, shower shoes and maybe some sandals. You will also want to take a hat or visor, sunglasses, sunscreen, aloe for the burns, and bug spray. Bring a raincoat or umbrella just in case. Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel for swimming you will also need a shower towel and shower supplies. Putting them in a mesh bag works best so they can dry, don’t forget your washcloth or puff and toothbrush and toothpaste. You will need a flashlight and extra batteries for the evening hours. I would be sure to bring a book or two to read, also a notebook to take down names of numbers of all the friends you are going to meet and well you may want to write a letter home. Take stamps and envelopes just in case you do want to write home. Make sure your name is on everything you won’t believe how much stuff looks like someone else’s or just goes missing. If you can take your Ipod or something like that so you can have some music. Cards are always great to bring, also some travel size games are great for in the evening. Crosswords, word searches, and games like that are good and easy to pack. For the most part camps are going to check what you bring and most have a do not allow list. So you will need to double check that. Trust me if they find it they will take it away and lock it up for your whole stay. Just a hint when you are packing to leave put your outfits in plastic bags this way all you have to do is pull one out and everything you need is in them, also keeps them dry from rain and dew….the mildew spell is the worse! I would also take some hand sanitizer, Kleenex and a few band aids, never hurts and it is better to be over prepared. You will want to check the list the camp sends out, sometimes they require different things. Most of all take a great attitude, get ready to meet some new people and have fun! Camp is always awesome!

just don't take it out @ all unless it's an EMERGENCY!!

I would be sure to take a poncho in case of rain !! Take sunscreen, bug repellent, long pants, and long shirts. I am not sure about the cell phone if you take it you are going to be tempted to use it. If you are homesick you are going to want to call friends & family, so I would say leave the cell at home. It probably will do more harm than good ; )  I am sure if there is an emergency one or all of the counselors will have a cell phone to use. Hope this helps & have fun !!!
