I'm going to a wedding in september, and I am not good with congratulating the newly-wedded couple...

ideas on what to say, also when do you congragulate the newly weds. this is the first wedding i'll be attending

Just give them a hug and say "Congratulations"...that is what I do, you can also add "you both make a beautiful couple" tell them how beautiful the wedding was.  Don't fret over it just keep it simple.  Good luck! :)

sometimes just after the wedding the wedding party will greet people.. you usually just give hugs or what not.  Just say congratulations, I'm so happy for you.  A nice compliment on the dress and how pretty the bride looks is nice too.  If they don't have a lineup after the wedding, then you'll have the opportunity to do so at the reception.  

Just make a compliment, and say congratulations.  If there is time, you can ask about their honeymoon plans or whatever else, but that also depends on how well you know the newlyweds.  

Just kinda follow what everyone else does.
