  1. Tie your skates tightly to start. Um it really just takes practice. Just bend your knees and try gliding on two feet.

  2. It's not really something you can tell somebody how to do.  You just gotta put the skates on and give it a shot.  A couple of hints though...keep your knees bent, try to keep your ankles straight, don't lean forwards and loosen up.

  3. One thing make sure your ice skates are tightened. Also don't look at your feet and last thing BE CONFIDENT if your not confident then its more likely you will fall.

This link is very helpful to me :) Make sure you look at it.

  4. well you might need to hang onto the sides for a bit,if you have good balance it will help. if you're going with your friends maybe you should go there a couple of days before to get the hang of it. but hey, just go out and have fun, if you fall down , laugh, even the better skaters fall, (just remember to close you hand into a fist, you dont want to fall down with your fingers out when someone else skates by)

  5. Use your arms for balance, and try marching into a glide on the ice. Learning how to skate takes a lot of practice, it's one of those things where you just have to go learn. Make sure that you properly lace your skates. Good luck!

  6. make sure you tie your skates up all the way, and tight. try getting a half size smaller than your shoe size. don't look at your feet when you are skating. don't try anything you know you can't do, it could result in disaster. get very comfortable with moving before you try to spin.
