I'm kind of nervous, but excited. Because everyone says it's the hardest and most important year.

What should I expect?

  1. It's really not too horribly different from your sophomore year — expect more of the same really, the advance in difficulty you would normally expect from year to year (for example, English got a lot harder for me my Junior year, the key was to quickly adapt).

Your Junior year could be seen as the turning point of your high-school education. For example, a lot of people who were "s***w-ups" prior to that year turn themselves around (I was one of them, I noticed many of my peers doing the same). It does seem to be an important year – it could be difficult (they are trying to challenge you, y'know?), but I guess the best advice I could give is to simply chill out; don't let it overwhelm you, and take it as it comes – it'll be fine.

Oh, and turn in your assignments on time!

  2. i just finished my jr. year. I was told the same thing. It is pretty hard you just have to stay committed to your school work and not get side tracked with social stuff. keep your priorities straight and everything should go pretty smoothly

  3. I'm going into my junior year too. I've got a tough schedule with college and AP courses. It's important because colleges will use grades from your junior year to get a feel for your senior year, or this is my understanding anyways. I'm really wanting to work hard, because I want to earn a Ph.D. in college, so I want great grades. Also, this is the year you take your SAT's. Don't be nervous or put undo pressure on yourself, enjoy it.

  4. Well just expect a hard term paper and homework.

Just try your best and you should be fine!

It is the most exciting year besides senior year though because you're considered an upperclassman without so many responsibilities!
