I'm going to be in Reno, NV in a couple weeks. What is the best steakhouse there?

The steak Restaurant at the Peppermill Casino is Excellent.  It is expensive, but the 2 meals I had there were absolutely great!  I will say, however, that this was about 4 years ago.

it depends on your budget.. and what you are looking for. If you want a casino.. try Charlie Palmer in the Grand Sierra. Every casino downtown will have some sort of steak house.

If you want local there really isn't much.. there is a lot of good brewery type places here though. This is the only real steak house I know of here in town that isn't casino affiliated.. I've never been there myself but I hear its good.

There is a place called " Big Ed's Alley Inn" that is a hole in the wall.. its a bar (but kids are allowed) and its a down home "cheers" type atmosphere. It isn't in the best part of town but I recommend it to anyone.

They have great burgers and breakfast.. but aside from that in the evenings they have killer steak and seafood. ALL fresh (I believe cut fresh everyday) Their prices are unbeatable and the food is just good. They aren't open 7 days a week at night.. so I'd call to make sure their times if you were planning to go.
