  2. to drive across the border if your american resident you need government issued photo ID and a birth certificate or green card,its  not so much about entering Canada as it is about returning to the states

    if you fly you need a passport

  3. If you are going by land to Canada, then yes, a green card is all you need.  However, this is only the case if you are entering and leaving by land, not by air.

  4. No you will not be able to enter canada with a green card only. More than likely they will want a birth certificate, drivers license, and or passport, ( although a passport is not required yet if you are traveling by ground transport until Dec 08) Youre best bet is to call canada customs at the port you are entering and find out what exactly is required.
