  1. Guardavlaca is absolutely beautiful, not stayed at the hotel that you are going to but do know its a beautiful hotel, you generally tip one peso each time you feel it necessary to tip, contrary to popular belief the Cubans do not have their hands out waiting for tips all the time, the maid who cleans your room will be grateful for any toiletries you don't want to bring home with you, have a wonderful time in Cuba and hope your wedding day is one you will remember always.

  2. We went to cayo guillermo on our honeymoon and it was really fantastic! beautiful place, beautiful people and perfect weather.

  3. I've been to Sol Melia Rio Luna y Mares Guardalavaca four times and returning in December, the whole area is fantastic.  You are in for a treat.  I  was a guest at a wedding at Paradisus, it adjoins Rio Luna and  it was beautiful, the ceremony was in a little gazebo perched out over the ocean, just spectacular. Tipping is of course discretionary,  the usual for a drink is 1 Convertible Peso(CUC ), the same at the buffets. however that doesn't mean you should tpi for every drink or every meal however tips are much appreciated,  hotel staff rely on tips to make a living.    Check the site below for approximate rates.

  4. hi there I was at the resort last year it is fabulous but did not stay at that hotel but was told by other tourist staying there that it was very nice,

I went back to cuba 12 weeks ago this time to cayo coco again it was fabulous but a little to isolated

I hope you have the wedding of a life time (should I get the chance to marry again you can be sure it will take place in Cuba I have visited quite a few of the caribbean islands but im totally in love with Cuba as for tipping they are on such low wages anything is very much appreciated and not expected a couple of pesos will be fine

  5. I am going there in 2 weeks (well 2 weeks weds) for my honeymoon!! Only heard really great reviews about the hotel. I can't wait!! If you send me a message with your email I can let you know when I get back.
