  1. i would be worried about more than rain... you'll probably have to evacuate, the whole area is going to be under hurricane alert, i hope you make it alive.

  2. MY FAMILY GOES TO WDW EVERY YEAR IN MID-SEPTEMBER, IT DOES RAIN IN THE EVENINGS EVERYDAY OR SO BUT THIS IS JUST NATURAL.  BE SURE TO PACK TENNIS SHOES, UMBRELLA, AND OR A RAINCOAT AND YOU'LL BE FINE.  IT'S ACTUALLY QUIT FUN WHEN IT RAINS..IT MAKES FOR FOND MEMORIES.

  3. No! It dont rain in DISNEY!! Its a magical place!!!!!

  4. yes

  5. The chances of rain are relatively high during this season -

I literally just got back from Orlando three days ago after being there a week, and spent the time there during tropical storm fay - and we still had a great time.  Here are the plusses to having rain.

#1 - Rain drives the crowds away.

#2 - It keeps the heat and humidity away.

It isn't that HUGE of an inconvience, just make sure to pack a windbreaker / poncho that you're comfortable in, and expect the rain, then you'll definatly have a great time.

Have a great time.  We did.  We always do.

  6. no hurricane monday so your fine cause I live in Orlando

  7. It is a very rare occasion that Disney closes its doors. Rain and hurricanes are frequent in Florida, and I'm sure Disney has what to do in case of a natural disaster.

Most of the rides and shows in Disney are indoors so they most likely won't close however you may want to invest in a raincoat because you'll be outside for most of the day.

  8. I live less than 10 minutes from Epcot. Fay in Orlando was just 20 mph winds and rain. There hasn't been any flooding or wind damage in this area. Disney, SeaWorld and Universal have been open regular business hours every day and I'm sure they have no plans to change that just because of a little rain.

Don't worry about the parks closing.  They didn't miss an hour of operation during the big storms 4 years ago.

Our normal weather pattern for this time of year is rain for about an hour in the afternoon, in fact it's usually a pretty spectacular thunderstorm but it only lasts about an hour. The storms usually hit late afternoon around 3-4pm. It's also pretty hot down here right now. We've been in the low 90's with high humidity so make sure you dress light and stay hydrated.

Welcome to Orlando and enjoy your stay!

  9. noo my friends are in florida right now and they said the hurricane is past them completely andd yeahh dont worry check the weather before you go but it will all be finee =)

  10. It might but I seriously doubt that you'll be hit by a hurricane in space mountain! hey enjoy your trip! people are living down there and they survived! im sure you'll be fine! have fun!

  11. Disney World rocks :D I used to go there once a year when I lived near florida. Just look out for warnings on the news. They'll tell them to evacuate florida if it's that bad. You should be more worried about seeing the whole place. It took me 5 years to see everything and now they built MORE stuff

  12. well fay has been gone for a while infact the remnants of fay are currently coming thru my area in buffalo as i write this.

and there is another huricane "gustav" but it will go up thru the golf of mexico and will not be bothering florida at all.

don't worry your trip will be fine.

but yes it will rain just about every afternoon while you are here cuz thats what it does in the summer time. so be ready for rain usually between 3-6pm and having it last between 30-60 minutes. but the rain moves quickly and the rest of the day is nice and sunny.

  13. Orlando is outside the possible area where Gustav might make landfall.  Do watch the weather, but your trip should be OK.

Hope you have a great time!

  14. If it rains, it will be better. Crowds will be down, which means less wait time. Also it will give you better time to look around on the inside rides. Keep good faith and if it does rain, then just keep looking at the bright side that it will make rides and the parks less crowded. Just bring rain gear and a change of socks and shoes every day.

  15. never heard of a hurricane not ruining anyones trip
