Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo Submarines, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Make sure to fast pass rides since the lines will be long. There is a board in the Town Square with the wait time for all rides so you can kind of plan that way too.

I love first timers at Disneyland!

Try going on either the Matterhorn, Autopia, or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at night. Those rides change drastically in the dark and if you plan it just right, the fireworks might go off above you as your riding the rides! It is an amazing experience, I happened to be on the Matterhorn when the fireworks started once and it was something I'll never forget!

Also a tip I repeat frequently is to go to the park at opening to enjoy it with less crowds! You'll be so glad you did, during the morning is when I hit Fantasyland and enjoy all the classic dark rides there before the afternoon crowds arrive.

If you are going to California Adventure I strongly suggest Soarin' over California and if you love roller coasters and thrill rides: California Screamin and Tower of Terror.
