I'm going to draw a very colorful picture. what should i draw?

Or a disco.

Just because you HAVE fifty colors does not mean you have to use them all.  ESPECIALLY on the same image.

Just because a car's speedometer registers 150 mph, doesn't mean that the driver should always go that fast.

I good exercise that artists use to train their eyes and creative skills is to work with a limited pallette.  Pick THREE colors.  Only three.  Then see what is the BEST composition and picture you can create with them.

Then pick another three and do something else.

And, if you CAN'T do it, then adding colors is not going to make the composition any better.

Keep practicing the limited pallette until you CAN do it.

my sister drew one the other day and made the buildings purple and yellow stars...

or draw it (or something else) and make it abnormal colors

for example: purple tiger, blue palm tree, orange people...etc.

I would draw a girl wearing a peacock costume walking down the street sipping a strawberry tangerine smoothie. Or maybe just a peacock in a botanical garden.

My favorite thing to do is paint the way I imagine a song would look. Like right now I'm painting "The Power of Orange Knickers" by Tori Amos & Damien Rice as a girl blissfully spinning around in a sassy dress with just the tiniest glimpse of her orange knickers underneath in front of her school while all these uppity girls in uniforms gape at her. It's very colorful!

do you want to draw like a lot of small stuff in one paper or a whole big picture?

if its a lot of small things:

fruits, butterflies, flowers, etc.

if its a whole landscape:

try drawing a kids scene, which are usually colorful. a day care, carnival, a circus, ect.
