  1. Study the DOT manual and you won't have to ask that question.

  2. Every state is different.

  3. Study the drivers manual. That way, you`ll be ready for any questions.

  4. All the questions on the test are not the same so you may wanna go take the test and memorize the ones you get wrong .Remember study the book very hard even though some of the things are not going to be on there.

  5. Signs and the rules of the road and the understanding of the use of the vehicle.

  6. If you go to the DMV they should have a booklet you can pick up for free that explains the rules of the road.

    Most of it is common sense, but there are specific numbers like how far from a fire hydrant it is Ok to park, speed limits in residential if you not see any speed limit sign.

    The test will include various pictures and shapes of signs with questions ... you need to be able to recognize what certain colors and shapes of signs mean, and what this and that set of symbols indicate.

    So get the booklet, study it & especially what might be new and unfamiliar to yo, such as

    * speed limit through a construction zone

    * different kinds of signs meaning same thing

    * proper lane positioning for various turns

    * roundabout rules

    * hand signals

    * rules for center turning lane when arrows not installed

    * how you can tell a pedestrian is blind, and how the rules are different for them than for other pedestrians

    * places where it is always illegal to park

    * different colors flashing on different kinds of emergency vehicles such as volunteer firemen, privately owned vehicle of medical technician responding to an emergency

    * average stopping distance at various speeds and conditions

    * where blind spots are

    * how to back up if you have a trailer

    * getting out of a skid

    * rules for school busses ... it is stopped, you headed in its direction ... who has to stop, and how far back

    * accident statistics

    * various kinds of emergency conditions & how to cope

    ---- EDIT ----

    ToAsT is mistaken ... in some states the passengers in back seat do have to wear seat belt, can get a ticket if caught not wearing it.

    If you have a pickup truck ... riding with people sitting in the flat bed is also illegal, except under very special circumstances like a hayride.

  7. remember only the front passangers have to were their seat belt the people in the back dont
