  1. Don't count on getting back into Germany just by leaving and then coming back. You're allowed 90 days in a six month period. Also, you can't travel in any of the other Schengen treaty countries in that period. You may not be challenged, but if you are, you won't be allowed back in. Do this legally by applying for an extended stay visa. see the section under visit relatives/friends in Germany on the German Consulate website: http://www.germany.info/relaunch/info/co...

  2. I don't know if the first person is deliberately leading you astray, but legally he is very wrong!

A Schengen visa is for 90 days (in any 180) and cannot be renewed by exit and re-entry.  e.g. if you stay in Germany 88 days and then (e.g.) go to the UK (with a UK visa of course) for 10 days and then come back (assuming the Schengen visa is a multi-entry one) then you (a) will not be able to get it renewed by the German embassy in the UK, (b) does not get renewed by passport control automatically and (c) does not change the fact that you only have 2 days left before you have to leave the Schengen zone

So simply put, a Schengen visa will not solve your problem and like Conley states, you have to look at applying for a longer-stay visa where your brother would sponsor you

Please do check it out for yourself with your local German embassy to ensure you get official and correct info.  Telling a passport control office who states you have violated your visa conditions that "someone on yahoo answers said" is not going to hold much weight, and unlike the first person, I don't want you to risk not being able to be ever issued with a visa again in the future.

  3. Do you think you get better answers by asking the same question over and over again?

  4. You are going to have to get a Travel Visa for that... OR if you don't want to get a travel visa, you can just simply travel around Europe... meaning you must leave Germany before the 90 days and travel for a week or so to another country  (must have proof of departure) and then return back to Germany and repeat that over and over again.....Just take a cheap flight or a train ride else where when you are there... and get our passport stamped showing you left the country.

So you can do that or you can just get a travel visa or even a work visa if you need to or want a job, but you can't get both, its either one or the other.

    Hope that helps.
