  1. In Italy they use the two round pins.  As far as I am aware the UK is pretty much the only place that has the 3 square pins!

All of Europe and many other countries in the world have the 2 round pins!  You can buy an adaptor in many shops - including Tesco.   You can also buy them at the airport but just remember that often airport shops charge an awful lot more than other shops!

  2. In Italy our plugs have three pins, but are slightly different from three pins used in the UK, so you need an adaptor (voltage and frequency are the same).

I don't know why other users told you we use two-pins... it's true most devices do have two pins (radio, TV, most household appliances) but the plugs do almost all have three pins, since on other electric devices ground is present, often even mandatory by law.

Edit: aguddub: yes, in the UK you say "earth", I used the American term "ground" :-)

  3. Its Europe so 2 pin type,

I think we only have the 3 pins in the world ??

    Not sure

  4. Two-pin plugs.

  5. Good answer from Pinguino,  but when he says " ground is present"  I think he means Earth is present. The power source is already earthed and so only requires 2 pins for live and neutral.

  6. They use the 2-pin type. Plenty of adaptors available in the airport shops
