  4. you won't die without olive oil, oil would be fine, if u have onions, dice it up, fry in a bit of oil, add your chopped tomatoes & capsicum, splash some soy sauce, pepper, salt and stir fry it..it will taste great, presentation plays a good part...lol... i've seen chefs on tv dumping just anyting n it looks yummy... and top with cheese and serve..

edit: white sauce is sometimes called bechamel sauce..maybe the spelling is incorrect here.

u melt butter, add some flour  till it form lumps

then u add abt a cup of milk and let it boil, last u add cheese,  parmesan, mozarella or cheddar..and thicken the sauce..salt & pepper ..

its nice but i usually cant have too much of it...i prefer tangy, spicy sauces with my pasta.

  5. Sauce:

    1.  Finely chop 1 purple onion

    2.  Heat up pot

    3.  Add olive oil (if not, normal oil is OK but not the best option) and chopped onion

    4.  Dice tomatoes and put inside the pot with 250 ml of boiling water

    5.  Wait until it is made into a tomatoe puree

    6.  Mix with plain tuna in olive oil (not springwater)

    Pasta:

    1.  Boil 500 ml of water in a seperate pot with a handful of rock/sea salt

    2.  Add 250 g of pasta

    3.  Wait until the pasta sticks to you ceiling (then you know that it's ready

    4.  Drain water

Add the sauce to the pasta and mix well!  Hope you've enjoyed my favourite fast Ramadan recipe ;)

P.S.  I agree, finding halal meat in Shanghai is hard, but there are quite a few Muslims so I'm sure there are certain places...
