  1. stay home dont go

  2. Hi...

I travel a lot because of my dancing and used to be the same way:

well a home remedy is to scrunch tissue and put it in one ear as it stops motion sickness... sounds weird but works really well.

The other thing i would suggest is getting tissue salts from the chemist. "Kali Phos" is a tissue salt that relaxes ur nerves and tension and i would say works for almost anything. I use them before i go on stage and have never had a problem since!

hope these help - enjoy your trip :)

  3. get trashed at the airport bar before your flight leaves

  4. Take dramamine right before you go. It'll calm you down and maybe even knock you out. It worked for me when I flew to Mexico. You can buy it over the counter at walmart.

  5. Try buying a book on cognitive-behavioral interventions for anxiety. David Barlow is an expert in the field.

Talk to your doctor about prescribing a short acting anxiety medication such as Xanax or Valium that you can take the day of the flight to help calm you down.

  6. i feel your pain.i missed my cousins wedding in Germany because of my fear of flying and my whole family was there.i now  have to fly for 2 hours to tn and im trying to find out every way i can to get down there without taking a plane.it sucks so bad.the most i can say is go to your and have them give you a xanex for anxiety.good luck!

  7. talk with your doctor before going..he can prescribe something for you that will work with any other meds you might be taking. its always best to have a check up before traveling to another country especially. Italy is beautiful . dramamine does work for some but its best to check with your doc before going to avoid any other problems that may come up . good luck to you and im sure you'll look beautiful

  8. Try hypnotherapy-think of how happy your cousin and Italian family will be to see you-have a GREAT time.....

  9. Like the previous poster suggested, Dramamine works wonders!  Take it an hour before you're supposed to fly.  You won't feel sick and unless you take the less drowsy version, you will sleep during the whole flight!  Even the less drowsy version will help put you to sleep.

Also, bring a comfortable small pillow and throw blanket (because the ones provided on the plane tend to be uncomfortable and itchy), and wear comfortable clothes (workout or yoga pants, a t-shirt, a hoodie sweatshirt, and sneakers).  No one cares what you look like on the plane.

Be sure to drink plenty of water on the flight to stay hydrated, and if you can, reserve an aisle seat.  The window seats make you want to look out the window, which can make you feel sick, and having an aisle seat gives you easy access to stand up, walk around (make sure you get up at least once every two hours to increase circulation), go to the bathroom, and gives you an extra bit of legroom after they turn the lights off (you can stretch your legs out into the aisle a bit).

Bring a CD player or MP3 player that you can listen to to help drown out the plane noise and to relax you.  You can also watch the movie(s) they show on board.  That usually helps to take away from the whole flying experience.

Last but not least, bring a men's spray like Axe.  People on planes for 8 hours smell pretty bad after a while.  That can also help make you feel sick.  Girls perfumes usually smell really strong and give you a headache (again, making you feel sick).  Men's sprays and colognes when sprayed right in front of you have that fresh, clean smell that won't offend anyone.

    Good luck!
