  1. I got away with Jeans and a t-shirt for most of the winter there, but sometimes a sweater was definately needed. Sometimes it was even warm enough for shorts.

I loved it there so much, you'll have a great time!

    =D

It's not actually that cold.. Well, depending on where you're from. The average temp for winter is about 18 degrees C (about 64 F). So not exactly beach weather, but I really don't think you're going to need a parka.

  2. boots with the fur

  3. Yeah its pretty cold in Sydney.  I reckon your outfit would be great for the conditions, however, i would suggest a polyprop (long sleeved thermal top) instead.

  4. none, whoah

    i think that suits you!

  5. That sounds fine, though you probably wont need the jacket during the day.

You can get away with jeans and a t-shirt during the day and throw on a jumper for night. Sydney is more cool - mild then it is cold.

EDIT - Sydney is expecting a cold snap for the rest of this week so if coming soon expect temperatures in the low teens instead of the normal high teen temperatures.

  6. Do you feel the cold?

    I do.

Yesterday morning for my 8.00am walk I wore:

Thermal under vest, long sleeved thin jumper, thick cardigan with high neck, thick trousers, woolly socks, boots, scarf, hat and gloves.

By the time I got to my destination my feet were so cold I could barely feel them and I wished I had worn long-john thermal leggings under my trousers too.

Then again it was a cold snap of only about 12 / 14 degrees. I don't normally wear thermals, a hat and gloves.

However, when I got to my destination, I saw someone walking around with a t-shirt on.

Your outfit sounds fine, I suppose it depends what time you will be arriving too, always colder early and late. Will you be travelling by warm car or taxi or will you be waiting for a bus or train in the cold. The airport always feels cool to me, so I like to take a jumper even in summer.

Better to dress in layers that you can remove and put them in a bag, rather than being too cold.

    .

  7. You should be fine ... depends what you're used to.   Check out www.bom.gov.au which will give you the weather forecasts for the period and give you an idea of what to expect.

  8. yeah that should be enough but make sure your jacket is warm as it will be cold

  9. Its not that cold. During the day it can still get quite warm. But at night and in the mornings jeans a tee and a jacket would be good. But most days you could be quite comfortable without the jacket.

  10. They have winter in Australia??

When i arrived in Melbourne one faithful day in July, i was wearing shorts, slippers and a t-shirt and wore that attire for the entire week i was that.

    Typical Coloradan Spring weather.

Just where what suits you though.

  11. That should be enough for winter, Sydney is usually between 17-20*c in Temperature so you could even go out in a shirt in sunny weather. But still one layer of jacket will be enough as Sydney has mild winters.

  12. Winters not that bad in Sydney so you'd probably get away with shorts and shirt!

(Don't go to Canberra, but if you do take 15 jumpers and you'll need every one of them!

  13. it wil be winter so pack warm clothes

  14. warm clothes. its freezing right now!

I think you might be a bit warm in those clothes you mentioned though. just some jeans, sneakers with socks, a shirt and a light jumper will work. unless its windy then maybe a thicker jacket
