Any experienced advice would be nice. I would also like to hear if you enjoyed your trip.

  1. Go to cruiseaddicts.com or cruisecritics.com for any questions you have about cruising. Packing, airfare, excursions, tipping etc. The veteran cruisers love to share.

  2. take sea sickness pills just in case, make sure you have your passport, make sure you have an outfit to wear in the main dining room or you can't eat there, make sure you have money to do some excursions they are usually $45-$95 each and make sure you book them ASAP they fill up fast.  also be prepared for people to beg you and try to sell you everything under the sun.  when you are shopping they will negotiate so don't pay what price is marked you will see you can save some money this way.

  3. Didn't go to Caribbean but on cruise to Alaska.    Food is very available and very tempting.  I wanted to enjoy my vacation so I did eat but I tried to get up each day and run on ship or exercise.  Book your port trips (side trips) prior to going.  otherwise what you want may be sold out.  Have a fantastic time, remember the super sunscreen.  Make sure if you take any medications or have any medical conditions you have a piece of paper stating what they are (as well as your blood type or any other medical info you know).  Have fun.

  4. warning cruises are addicting

I have had 2 and have another booked for Sept this yr and the best advice is eat in the dinning room

I prefer the fall between Sept and Dec it is nice weather and cheaper prices

just relax and read the planner they hand out every day, you can do as much or as little as you want

it is generally cheaper to book excursion after you get to the island, if you only want to see the local sites, just be careful to take a tour guide with a company or a cab, but be careful.
