I'm going to the doctors tomorrow afternoon about my pregnancy......?

this is the first time im going and I'm 5 months does anyone know what there going to do???

Just to correct those above - they won't do a pap smear if you're in the uk as it isn't standard practice here. It is in the states though.

They will do some blood work, they test you for HIV and STDS, they will do a pap, they will probably do an ultrasound since you are 5 months along. They will weigh you, take your blood pressure , etc. Its not too bad. Good Luck

You should have gone in a while ago but nevertheless, this being your first appointment, they will ask you your family medical history as well as that of your partners. Then they will do a pap smear (routine) and assign blood work. My office doesn't have a ultrasound machine but you should be having one pretty soon.

They will order blood work you have missed, schedule glucose test for you.  they will do an ultrasound and should be able to tell you the s*x.  they will do a pelvic exam and most likely a pap smear and breast exam, blood pressure, listen to babies heart beat and measure your belly, and get your weight.  they will also ask you medical history and talk to you about any concerns you may have.  every visit after that is nothing like this one.  From here on in they will just weigh you, take your blood pressure, listen to babies heart and measure your belly.  In your last month they will start to check your cervix.
