  1. I'm not sure, but I think that kind of weather hits a little later, like September/October.  I would expect heat, heat, heat.  I went last year in March and it was perfect.  Have fun!

  2. I was there two years ago, mid September.  Very humid, but bearble.  The locals say that August and September are the worst for humidity.  We took advantage of the beaches and pools.  We had one day of rain, lasted about an hour.  Hurricane season is May thru October, but don't worry about it.  If you worry, you'll never get there.  We are leaving for seven days this Saturday, May 17.  Only two more days.  YAAAY!!!!!

  3. Don't worry about hurricanes, they only strike the area once every few years so the likelihood of one hitting Tulum that particular week are slim.

As for rain, I wouldn't worry about it either, it's a tropical climate so you will get rain but it's typically intense and short.

You can see historical weather data at www.wunderground.com but I think you'll find the closest weather station is Cancun and I know that one always says rain but in reality it almost always sunny and warm.
