I want to take my mobile phone, electric brush and my laptop. How will the equipment work over there? How do I prepare for my journey?

  1. well since your electronics are from UK you will need to buy adapters to connect your stuff to and then you plug your device into the adapter and plug the other end into a socket and it should work

  2. mobile phone charger and electric brush can use the converter, 220 to 110.

For laptop, you will only need 110 plug. The computer will work fine because it is voltage independant. All computers are.  There is a sensor in the mobo that adjusts. In some older models you have to use the switch at the back to turn it to 110 before plugging it in. That's all there is to it.

Converter plugs are cheap. They are available in dollar stores in USA, meaning they go for a $1.

  3. You'll need to get an electrical converter plug with TWO prongs, not three. You'll be able to plug the UK plugs into the converter, then the converter into a wall plug to charge things.

They're quite cheap, and should be easy to find if you look around; just buy a couple incase you need to charge too things atthe same time. I got mine in Superdrug.
