She is going to make me ride the behemoth. How can I not get scared? Is it possible that you can get so afraid that you'll die because of that? I mean that is how scared I believe I would get.

  1. You will not die.  I don't like roller coasters myself but I have been on them.  You never know you may just like it.  I wouldn't recommend the Minebuster though, it is made of wood and it creaks so you really do fear for your life.  Appease your friend and start small with like the Bat or Italian job then sprinkle in a couple of non roller coasters and then try the Behemoth.  Have a great time!!

  2. Well i am a roller coaster enthusiast, and i have been on about 132 roller coasters and had not problems. You best bet is to not think about it, and just do it. Roller coasters are incredibaly safe, some safety checks have said that some theme parks rides are safer than the electric wiring in a house. You just need to queue up, sit down in the trains ans pull the harness down. Once its done theres no going back. From the videos that i have seen of Behemoth, it looks pretty tame to be honest, so theres nothing to be worried about. Annother thing you can do is look at the constructions photos of behemoth. You'll realise that those who built it went through more dangerous tasks building it. When you do get on it. Sit like a few rows from the front. This is the best for people who get scared, as the Airtime or Negitive G Forces are not so extreme. So no matter what, you;ll be fine. Good luck. And let me know what you thought of it...

  3. well um no you cant die but just don't stress and yeah just try to get happy when i first was ganna ride a rollar coaster i was so so so so so so soooooo happy and nervous but when i first rode it dang did i have fun.hope i helped.bye

  4. To a certain extent, the fear is part of the fun with roller coasters.  The whole point is to be scared...but really only up to a point.  But every time I ride one, my heart starts pounding fast, my palms get sweaty, and I look for ways to get out of line without anyone seeing me.  But then, after I have lived through the thrill of the first downhill, it all turns into fun.

BTW, they say that this is essentially how babies learn to laugh...The experience a bit of fear (and want to cry), but then the trusted people around them show that there's nothing to be afraid of.

It's almost impossible to die from fear.

If you're so afraid that there's no fun in it for you, then there's no point.  I appreciate that your friend wants to help you get over your fear, and let you learn that roller coasters can be fun...but forcing you to go is the wrong way to go about it.

IMO, you should go...but only if you really want the experience.
