  1. Freshman year (besides senior year-but you don't have to worry about that for awhile) is what I think the fastest year in high school. Definitely worry about school more than trying to fit in, because one of these days you'll look back and laugh at how you were friends with so and so...but your grades are more important and something you can't change. Take as many APs/honors classes offered and don't worry about the first day. Freshman get lost, so don't freak out if you do.

Just get a good night's sleep and hope this helps.

  2. Well, I was a freshman last year and I have to say it goes by soooo quickly!!  It was definitely a fun year but of course there were some bad times too.  But anyway the fashion is pretty normal.  Although, there are some girls who i noticed like to keep up with the trends.  and academicswise, do your best freshman year and do not slack off b/c it COUNTS.  and if you're high school is one that has combined towns in it, try to make some new friends b/c it gets harder as you get to higher grades, as groups will kind of start to be formed.  but anyway hope i helped and have a great freshman year!!

  3. Okay, even though I'm not a freshman yet (I will be one next year), I know a lot of people that are going to 9th grade this year who are all very nervous just like you. And since I am such an excellent advice-giver (no, I'm just kidding), I offered to give them some tips and advice on dealing with high school.

Friends = If you want to be friends with someone, you're going to have to have the right personality. If you're obsessed with gossip and are used to spreading rumors around, you're going to have to quit that. People don't want to be friends with someone that is constantly spreading rumors around and is starting drama in high school. If it is serious drama, all fingers will point to you in the end and guess who's in trouble? Also, keep your friends' secrets. People want a friend that they know they can trust, not the other way around. If you spill a secret, even if it is a tiny one, it's going to spread around and again, you're the one in trouble. All in all, just stay true to yourself AND your friends!

Clothing/Style = Don't wear the same clothes everyday; be unique! Don't listen to what your friends tell you you should wear, and just be yourself. You're going to regret it if you aren't, trust me.

Academic Excellence = Don't be afraid to get an A in a subject. School is for learning and education and after all, education is a true priority. Do your homework, study for tests and work hard in school. You will be shocked at how much you'll achieve if you do that.

"The Cool Group" = Ugh. The cool group with the cool girls and the cool guys. Even if you want to be popular, I recommend you NOT to join this cool group or even try to. The cool kids are not fun to hang around with, especially if they DON'T do cool things: for ex; steal, bully people, are in gangs, and etc. Ignore them if they taunt you. Don't be too popular and don't be TOO unpopular. Then no one will recognize you, and that is the golden key to not being noticed by the gangs.

  4. Just push through the whole year. It may seem hard at times, but you WILL get through it.

As far as clothes, just don't go overboard. You don't want other people to think that you are trying TOO hard to "fit in" if that is an issue.

    Hope i helped out. ^_^

  5. some things i learned:

--work hard on your school work, i know it's hard and people say it doesn't matter to colleges, but it's freshman year when you develop your study habits and it's really important

--don't worry about being popular; at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter

--be careful who you say things to--make sure you can trust them before you spill all

--chicks before d**ks. sorry for the language, but NEVER pick a guy over your best girl friends; trust me, he is not worth it.

--have fun; don't get caught up in the drama. if you decide before you even start highschool that you will not be involved in any drama whatsoever, you won't be.

--don't wear too much makeup or really revealing clothes, you don't want to be perceived as a hoochie.

  6. Woo hoo, I'm going to be a freshman, too! (in college, though lol)

Don't feel pressured to be accepted.

The seniors aren't going to eat you... actually, once you graduate, you realize how lame high school was. Don't take it too seriously.

Strive to get all A's from the very beginning of your freshman year. Don't wait until it's too late like many people do!

Honestly, be yourself. The older kids will respect you for it, and the teachers will love you. Always be kind, no matter what!
