I'm gonna fast, and could use some tips?

Okay, so i gained weight from an illness, so i need to lose it as fast as i can. i am going to fast, dont tell me not to, this is my choice. Just wondering if theres anything i can do to keep my mind off of food and make this easier. thanks.

Actually, a fast is not really the greatest idea to lose weight quickly - you will probably see some results from fasting, but the weight will return quickly after awhile.  That is because by fasting you will cause your metabolism to slow down as your body adjusts to not getting enough nutrients. This is not good for long term result when considering - you desire to maintain the weight you loss.

    The best choice is to choose a diet that forces your metabolism to be boosted, that way you will lose weight quickly while for the long term avoiding weight fluctuation.
