    7. Curt Schilling Eventually, but Blyleven should go in first.

    9. Luis Gonzalez: No

    10. Barry Larkin No. I don't think of him as being super special when he played..

    11. Billy Wagner: I would say, more than likely, see John Franco..

    12. John Franco Now that Gossage got in the door maybe open to closers and if so, they Franco should be a Hall of Famer.

    12. No

  15. 1. Derek Jeter - Definitely

2.Mike Mussina - Borderline, needs a couple of more years like this one.

3.Andy Pettite - Borderline, stats are similiar to Mussina, winning pct (.640 to .637) and ERA (3.83 to 3.69)

4.Chipper Jones - Couple of more decent seasons and he'll be in with no problem.

5.Frank Thomas - In based on the decade of the 90's

    6. Jeff Kent - In because he's one of the best power hitting 2B of all time.

    7. Curt Schilling - Borderline, I think his post-season numbers will get him in but it may take a while.

    8. Gary Sheffield - Don't think he's going to make it.  Comparable to Fred McGriff

    9. Luis Gonzalez - no

    10. Barry Larkin - Probably, one of the top 2 shortstops during his career.

    11. Billy Wagner - Too early to tell, may need another 3 good years.

    12. John Franco - Probably not.  Decent career numbers but no dominating seasons.

  16. Jeter-yes

    Mussina-no

    Pettite-no

    Wagner- TBD

    Franco- no

I'm sorta on the fence about Larkin.

  17. 1. Any player you  listed below # 4.   NO!

    2.  Except your # 10, Barry Larkin is a Hall of Fame player and has the stats to prove it.

    3. All the rest were above average players but not of HOF caliber!

  18. i think derek jeter, jeff kent (for sure) umm and luis gonzalez

  19. 1. Derek Jeter-yes

    2.Mike Mussina-only if he gets 300

    3.Andy Pettite- yes

    5.Frank Thomas- yes

    8. Gary Sheffield-no

    9. Luis Gonzalez-no

    10. Barry Larkin-not sure

    11. Billy Wagner-maybe if he gets 100 more saves

    12. John Franco-possibly (more yes than no)

  20. 1. Derek Jeter - Yes

    2.Mike Mussina - Maybe?

    3.Andy Pettite - Yes

    4.Chipper Jones -Yes

    5.Frank Thomas - Maybe

    6. Jeff Kent - NO

    7. Curt Schilling - Maybe

    8. Gary Sheffield - NO

    9. Luis Gonzalez - NO

    10. Barry Larkin  - Yes

    11. Billy Wagner - Yes

    12. John Franco - NO

    Good List though!

  21. Jeter-Yes, because of his consistency, rings, leadership, and amount of hits.

Mussina-No, he's been good but he's never really been dominant in his career.

Pettite-I'm on the fence on this one. I'm gonna have to say no, mostly because of the 'roids issue but if he turns it around for the rest fo his career, he could get in.

Chipper-Yes. If he'd been more consistently healthy this woudla been a no-brainer but even so he has been just a SICK hitter w/ his combo of hitting for avergae and power.

Frank-Yes, he's had a great career, esp. w/o taking 'roids and he was very dominant a few years back.

Jeff Kent-Yes he has a bunch of records for 2B that Utley might evntually breaks but at this point he is considered the best hitiing 2B over his career ever.

    Schilling-Yes, won w/ D'backs won w/ BoSox and he's had a great career.

Sheff-This is really a borderline one...Umm, I'll say yes? He's had injury issues but he's agreat hitter...

Gonzalez-No. he has good career stats but he's only ahd 1 sick year, and a couple good ones. No.

Larkin-Yes, he was a BEAST. defense and offense he remade the shortstop position b4 the Holy Trinity of A-Rod, Jeter, and Nomar in my opinion

Wagner-Nope, sorry. Wagner's agreat reliever but when only 5 relivers (including Goose Gossage) have made the HOF, a reliver who's prolly not even a top-5 reliver at the moment isn't gonna make it.

Franco-No, his career is absed more on quantity than quality...not that he wasn't a good hitter but longevity has really added to his HOF claim and I don't think he's HOF material.

EDIT: OK, OK, my bad JOHN Franco..still not HOF worthy, like I mentioned, hardly any relievers get into the HOF. And, wow, a thumbs down for getting a guy's name wrong? SORRY

  22. 1. Derek Jeter - without a doubt.  Before his career is over he will join the 3000 hit club. (Not bad for an overrated player!  lol)

    2.  Mike Mussina - When all is said and done, yes.  A work horse who rarely misses a start.  He has 12 more victories than hall of famer Bob Gibson with an outside shot at 300 career wins.  He is also well over 100 more wins than loses which is extremely important to the Baseball Writers Association.

    3.  Andy Pettite - No.  Good career but not a hall of fame career.  If he does ever get in it will be through the Veterans Committee

    4.  Chipper Jones - Absolutely!  By the time his career ends he will be considered the third greatest switch hitter in baseball history behind Mickey Mantle and Pete Rose.

    5.  Frank Thomas - Yes  500 plus home runs and a lifetime batting average over .300  No doubt!

    6.  Jeff Kent - Yes!  If Joe Morgan is in the hall than so should Jeff Kent.  He is a far superior second baseman than Morgan ever was.

    7.  Curt Schilling - No!  A legend in his own mind, but nowhere else.  He doesn't have the numbers.  His claim to fame is the playoffs and he had a few decent seasons.  However, no Cy Young award.  Very good but not great!

    8.  Gary Sheffield - Probably, yes.  Not a favorite of many people.  He'll have to reach 500 home runs in order to validate it.  His lifetime .293 batting average is certainly good enough.

    9.  Luis Gonzalez - No!  Another very good player but his numbers don't add up to Cooperstown.

    10.  Barry Larkin - If I had a vote I'd say YES!  Maybe the most underrated shortstop of his era.  Playing in the shadow of Ozzie Smith yet a far better offensive player as every bit as good as Smith defensively.  Ozzie had the gift of making the routine play look great and the great play look impossible.  Barry made the same plays but without the icing!

    11.  Billy Wagner - No!  100MPH fastball but his saves, for the most part, have be meaningless.  He's no Mariano Rivera to be sure.

    12.  John Franco - I loved the guy even though he was a Met.  With over 400 career saves I think he'll make it but probably through the Veterans Committee.

    Great list my friend!
